About studies:
The aim of the school is a
comprehensive preparation of students for universities, colleges and
tertiary colleges (so called higher education) of all types above all
and also a preparation for jobs after school-leaving exams. School-leavers
gain wide knowledge in all subjects which can be seen in their successful
passing the entrance exams to universities, colleges etc. A great
importance is placed on sciences. Languages, computing and basic knowledge
in economics are also paid a lot of attention. Two foreign languages
(three lessons a week) and seminars in sciences are taught at school. A
wide range of optional and voluntary subjects is offered according to the
students' needs. Each year a lot of students attend conversation lessons
in English which are taught not only by our English teachers but also by a
native speaker.
Four-year and eight-year studies are
opened at GJVJ each year. The students in the 3
rd
and 4
th
year (respectively in the 7
th
and 8
th
year) attend
optional and voluntary subjects which they need for their further studies.
Our students achieve great successes in applied economy - participation in
the final of the competition in the U.S.A., they reached top placing in
national competitions many times, the best students in this subject were
chosen for an excursion to the U.S.A.
